Chuseok Celebration 2025
From October 6–8, 2025, LBTO hosted its annual three-day, two-night Chuseok Celebration at the Royal Emporium Hotel in Incheon, bringing together aged-out young adults for one of the most meaningful and joy-filled gatherings of the year.
For many aged-out youth, holidays can be one of the loneliest times of the year. At LBTO, our Chuseok Celebration is about far more than activities or events — it is about creating a space where young adults feel welcomed, valued, connected, and deeply loved.
What began nine years ago as a small gathering of just thirteen participants has grown into a vibrant community of more than fifty young adults, volunteers, and mentors coming together like one big family. Months of preparation, planning, teamwork, and generous support from donors made this unforgettable celebration possible once again.
Throughout the weekend, the hotel was filled with laughter, excitement, meaningful conversations, and the warmth of friendship. Participants enjoyed a full schedule of activities, fellowship, games, meals, and special programs designed to encourage connection and community. Yet some of the most treasured moments happened late at night, when small groups gathered together sharing snacks, stories, encouragement, and heartfelt conversations that continued long after the official schedule ended.
Those moments reminded all of us what makes the Chuseok Celebration so special. Beyond celebrating one of Korea’s most cherished holidays, these young adults experienced something even deeper — the joy of belonging and the comfort of knowing they are not alone.
As friendships grew stronger and stories were shared openly, walls came down and hearts opened. Together, participants laughed, reflected on life’s challenges, encouraged one another, and created memories that will last for years to come. Through every shared meal, conversation, and activity, the spirit of family, hope, and healing was beautifully present.
Though the days were full and sleep was often short, the weekend ended with hearts overflowing with gratitude, encouragement, and renewed strength. Many participants shared how meaningful it was simply to be surrounded by people who genuinely care for them, support them, and believe in their future.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible volunteers, staff, and supporters in both Korea and the United States whose faithful generosity and compassion continue to make this celebration possible year after year.
Because of you, aged-out young adults are discovering not only opportunities and support, but also friendship, community, dignity, and hope.
It was truly a beautiful and blessed Chuseok Celebration.
