Enrichment Educational Program 2025
On May 17, 2025, LBTO proudly hosted its very first 2025 Enrichment Educational Program focused on “Financial Solutions for the Economic Independence of Young Adults.”
Thirty-five aged-out young adults gathered for an engaging four-hour educational workshop filled with practical financial knowledge, meaningful discussions, and valuable life skills. The atmosphere throughout the day was energetic, encouraging, and inspiring as participants eagerly learned tools to help them build a stronger and more independent future.
The program was designed to empower young adults with essential financial literacy skills, including budgeting, responsible spending, credit management, consumer behavior, investment habits, and protection against financial fraud. For many participants, this was more than just a class — it was an opportunity to gain confidence, direction, and hope for long-term stability and success.
We were deeply honored to welcome Professor Jung Woon-young from the Finance and Happiness Network as our guest instructor. Her passion for helping young adults achieve financial independence was evident throughout the entire session, and her thoughtful teaching left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
The participants’ reflections beautifully captured the impact of the program:
Many shared that they realized the importance of intentional financial planning rather than simply spending money without direction. Others expressed excitement about learning practical tools such as budgeting, expense tracking, and creating healthier spending habits. Several participants also shared that they gained confidence in managing their finances and felt motivated to apply what they learned not only for themselves, but also to help and encourage other aged-out youth around them.
At LBTO, we believe equipping young adults with practical life skills is one of the most meaningful ways to support their journey toward independence and stability. Educational opportunities like this open doors that many of these young adults may not otherwise have access to.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Professor Jung Woon-young and the Finance and Happiness Network for investing their time, expertise, and encouragement into the lives of our students. We are also incredibly thankful to our faithful supporters and donors whose generosity continues to make these life-changing opportunities possible.
Together, we are helping young adults build not only financial knowledge, but also confidence, resilience, and hope for the future.
