Move On Fair Day Event: January 28, 2023
Love Beyond the Orphanage co-sponsored a ground-breaking event in January of 2023. This was the first-ever “Move On Fair.”
Inspired by the success of LBTO’s Scholarship Student Workshop, we realized there was a more generalized need for information about opportunities and resources available to aged-out adults. Planning an hosting this event was an incredible challenge, but we accomplished our mission! In fact, it was so successful, that we have decided to make the Move On Fair an annual event.
The premise of the Move On Fair is to provide aged-out adults with conduits to information and resources, so they can move on with building productive lives. Aged-out adults are often unaware of services that may be beneficial and help address their challenges. The Move On Fair was a one-day event which included dynamic, inspirational speakers, information booths hosted by numerous organizations who assist aged-out adults, entertainment, door prizes and dinner! The event’s atmosphere was filled with joy, awe, and excitement.
A huge thanks to Mrs. Noh Joo-Hyun, of Daily Chang, for planning the event. It was a challenging project. Another huge thanks also goes to Steve Morrison for his vision, belief, and support of this event. Success for the event must also be credited to Ae-ra Shin (a famous Korean actress) for performing and inviting other talented entertainers to perform and share encouraging messages to our attendees! There are so many people to thank, but we most importantly thank God for the success of this event. We are excited to host our second Move On Fair in February of 2024!
