Scholarship Orientation: February 25, 2023

Vigorous planning preceded the welcoming of eighteen students (two students were unable to attend). Most were new faces to the program. We explained our expectations of them while in the program, and got to know one another through games and shared meals. This year’s scholarship recipients aspire to a wide range of professions, including becoming a lawyer, business entrepreneur, flight attendant, Pilates instructor, screen writer, social worker, and even a florist. We also shared the exciting news that they will be rewarded with a long weekend in Japan if they study hard, make excellent grades and meet program expectations. I wish them all a trip to Japan
