NexGen Leaders Workshop – Raising the Next Generation of Leaders

NexGen Leaders Workshop – Raising the Next Generation of Leaders

From June 27–29, 2025, LBTO proudly launched the very first NexGen Leaders Workshop — an inspiring and unforgettable weekend dedicated to equipping and encouraging the next generation of young leaders.

Throughout the weekend, participants spent meaningful time learning, growing, and building authentic connections with one another. The workshop focused on what it truly means to serve as leaders and volunteers within LBTO: supporting events, encouraging aged-out young adults, strengthening teamwork, and serving others with humility, compassion, and purpose.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, encouragement, and heartfelt conversations as participants shared personal stories, volunteer experiences, and their hopes for the future. Through interactive discussions and practical training, the young leaders learned valuable communication and leadership skills that will help them better support and connect with aged-out youth during future LBTO programs and events.

We were especially honored to welcome Elder Choi Sang-gyu (최상규 장로님), who shared timeless wisdom on leadership from a biblical perspective. His message deeply encouraged the group and reminded everyone that true leadership is not about authority or recognition, but about collaboration, selflessness, integrity, and lifting others up.

Of course, the weekend was not all work! Participants also enjoyed games, shared meals, late-night fellowship, and an energetic bowling outing that brought even more joy and connection to the group. Though everyone returned home a little short on sleep, they also left refreshed, encouraged, and inspired with a renewed sense of purpose.

At LBTO, we believe leadership grows through relationships, service, and shared experiences. We are incredibly excited to watch these remarkable young adults continue to grow as confident leaders and positive role models who will help shape the future of LBTO and encourage the next generation of aged-out youth with hope, dignity, and pride.

The future is bright, and we cannot wait to see what these young leaders will accomplish together!
